Discussion
was held regarding the two bids submitted by Quality Flow Systems and Electric
Pump. Dana Young asked Jerry Hudlow and
Owen Fuglseth if the public works crew still preferred the control panel
offered by Quality Flow. Owen Fuglseth
stated that the crew is familiar with the Quality Flow panels in the Greenwood
lift stations and with their service department. Jerry Hudlow stated that he also prefers
Quality Flow to Electric Pump.
The
Committee questioned why Quality Flow Systems official bid was approximately
$10,000 higher than their original quote.
Dana Young left the meeting to call Jeff Seaton, Sales Representative
with Quality Flow. Dana Young stated
that he was informed that the original quote did not include the cost of
installing the panels.
The
Committee recommended that the City Council approve the bid submitted by Quality
Flow Systems, Inc. in the amount of $148,600.00 for nine lift station control
panels on a motion by Jon Monson, seconded by Owen Fuglseth. Motion carried 5-0.
