RESOLUTION NO. 18-07

 

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING WORKER’S COMPENSATION

COVERAGE FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS

 

 

WHEREAS, the City of Deephaven is required to provide worker’s compensation coverage for all municipal employees by Minnesota State Statute; and,

 

WHEREAS, worker’s compensation coverage for elected officials is optional under the plan provided through the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Deephaven City Council has determined that it would be prudent to provide worker’s compensation coverage for all elected officials due to the active participation of the Council in City activities and programs.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DEEPHAVEN THAT:

 

The Deephaven City Council hereby authorizes worker’s compensation coverage for elected officials under the plan provided by the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust.

 

Adopted by the Council of the City of Deephaven this 18th day of June, 2007.
